I've asked a few times about this on the apple forums but had no useful help so I would greatly appreciate it if someone can solve this issue for me.
Firstly, I haven't been up grade the OS since I've had the machine, the same problem has occurred throughout. See the attachment, this happens every time I've tried, even when trying to install from a hard drive.
Secondly, and I guess it stems from the same issue, I haven't been able to restore from a back up. When I try from my time machine is starts the OSX installer every time, and fails.
Can anyone help me? Unfortunately I can't can't get to an Apple store when I live.
