Brand-new Mac Pro just arrived. Migration Assistant totally botches the transfer so I'm forced to re-install OSX. Afterwards, everything seems OK except that Safari won't load anything. Not web pages, not a local HTML file, nothing. It just sits there like it's finished loading. Sometimes the beach ball starts to spin after a couple seconds, but if I do anything like go to another window or even just move the Safari window it goes away.

Firefox and Chrome are working just fine.

I've used the Safari "reset". I've cleared the cache and all website data. I've deleted the .plist file. I tried going into safe mode and also using the guest account. All makes no difference.

Any other ideas?

Well, since nobody has any ideas, I just wiped the machine and reinstalled again from scratch. The Safari problem, along with a couple others, have gone away. Migration Assistant? Never again ...
