I'm not seeing any talk of a potential 5th generation rMBP.

Here are the revision dates of the MacBook Pro with Retina display so far:

June 11, 2012 — 1st generation (rMBP released)
October 23, 2012 — 2nd generation
February 13, 2013 — 3rd generation
October 22, 2013 — 4th generation
Mid June, 2014 — 5th generation?
(Source: Wikipedia)

WWDC 2014 runs June 2-6, 2014, and I'm guessing we'll see a minor spec bump announced and released soon after.

As the Model Identifier indicates, this would be the 3rd generation, but WWDC is an unlikely date for the release of such model, as Broadwell, the new architecture by Intel has been delayed till Q3. If there is a spec bump during the WWDC, it is just a spec bump, slightly faster CPU and that's it.

A minor spec bump is possible, but I think it's far more likely we'll see a Macbook Air update, and a Mac Pro update announced.

I think MAYBE the new Haswell CPU update in June (spec bump), and then the Broadwell refresh in December-February??? Since that's around when Broadwell will be available for the general market.

That's a stretch to call the current model a 4th-generation; minor spec bumps don't mean a new generation. Currently we have the 2nd generation rMBP, and the 3rd generation will be based on Broadwell.

Anyone know when the haswell chips are expected to release? It seems there is a constant delay.

Like the MacBook Airs, I'm guessing.

What of the GPU?

The nVidia 800 series GPUs are a big improvement over the 700 series in performance, but especially in terms of power consumption. Expect a GT850m to be the high end GPU. It is such a big jump from the Iris Pro though that I doubt Apple would leave that as the standard GPU. Maybe a slower 800 series GPU is in order.

I'm seriously considering purchasing a new 15 inch rMBP with 750m. I'm concerned they are going to update them with better graphics in the very near future though.

Any thoughts or recommendations?

If you need it now, buy it now.
The only likely update to the MBP line due shortly, is a minor speed bump.
Broadwell and better graphics will likely be Q4 or maybe 2015 Q1.
