Plugged my iPad (3rd gen) into the computer I use it with and it's behaving as if I've plugged it into a different one. It asks if I want to set it up as a new iPad or restore from a backup, but the only backups it offers are my iPhone ones. How do I get it to let me create a new backup of the iPad? (or find the old iPad backup?) Don't want to blank the whole thing. I clicked done to avoid selecting an option but all it does is display my iTunes library.

It's refusing to charge while connected to the computer (I assume because it's not recognising it.)

Thanks

Sign into your iTunes account, then under "Edit," go into "Preferences," then "Devices."

A list of your backups will appear there.

As to the charging question, only my iPod is charged when connected to my computer. My iPad never does because there's not enough juice for the computer to charge it.
