What the heck is Tapatalk?

I downloaded it but I have no idea how to use it. I thought I would be able talk into my iPhone and it would type my words into my response on a forum rather than having to type. I think I've been hoodwinked . . .

Tapatalk? The app to access online forums? Why did you think you would talk into the phone and it would do something? Seems like the description for the app and the service is fairly clear:

You can dictate your reply using iOS built in dictation feature. Tap on a thread to reply then tap the microphone in my screenshot and you can dictate your reply.

The dictation can be done across iOS, even in Safari when visiting various forums there. It's more or less unrelated to Tapatalk or anything like that.
