Every night, before I go to bed, I turn my phone off. When I wake up, I turn it on again.

Every morning, without fail, I get this error message as soon as I unlock the phone for the first time:

Doesn't matter which option I choose; the message goes away and reappears the next day.

Why is this happening? Is my phone haunted? How do I exorcise this demon?

"vvm" probably represents Visual Voice Mail server for EE

Your iPhone doesn't like their SSL Cert. I would contact EE for support on that...

Also, unless there's some particular reason you are turning off your phone, it might be better in many respects to simply leave it on.
