I have installed Windows 7 and on reboot I get a flashing cursor that will just sit there for as long as I leave it on. There are some suggested solutions for this. However, they all require booting from the Windows CD and repairing the disk and doing a few command line actions which supposedly fix the issue.

My problem is that I can't boot from my CD. After selecting the Windows CD in the boot menu, I get "press any key to boot from CD or DVD" I press every key on the keyboard and nothing happens. I've tried with with both a wired and wireless keyboard and with multiple windows discs.

This is on a Mac Pro 4,1 running 10.9 and Boot Camp Assistant 5.1.2.
