Hi Guys,

Im normally pretty good at this but im scratching my head here.
I have a faithful iPhone 4 which is JB on 5.1.1.
I have blobs from 4.2.1 to 5.1.1 but no others.
For app reasons I really need to update beyond 6.1 but have no desire to hit the 7 mark.
My obvious question, can I do this without any SHSH's for 6.x? and whats the best method to use if I want to remain Untethered...p0sixspwn?
Would I need to modify an ipsw or is it easier than that?
Any help would be appreciated.

You cannot upgrade to any version of iOS for which you do not have valid SHSH blobs for.

When you update now, it will be on 7.1.1, which isn't jailbroken (publicly) atm, but as you have an iPhone 4 you can still jailbreak 7.1.1 by using Geeksn0w. But remember, Geeksn0w isn't an untethered jailbreak, it is semi-tethered. So if you want a 100% untethered JB, don't upgrade.
