App Store and iTunes Store Currently Down for Some Users [Updated]

It's back up for me.

If the cloud is down is it considered a fog? Apple needs to license "iFog" ASAP.

Solar flares.

Ehrm... Due to this phenomenon, App store outages are the fault of no one employee or group of employees at Apple Inc, 1 Infinite Loop Cupertino, CA.

Why Me!?

Why am I always one of the "few" impacted by these things! So frustrating. The Movies and TV Channel are missing.

I'm just going to get all of the irrational comments out of the way before anybody else does:

1. Steve Jobs is rolling in his urn!
2. This never would have happened if Steve Jobs were alive!
3. Really, Apple? Really?! Wow, just... Wow.
4. Further proof Apple has gone downhill.
5. Figures, more articles on iOS and nothing about any new Macs coming out.
6. (Something about how awesome Android is.)

Did I miss anything?

Actually, that's not surprising. They have CDNs (data servers) all over the world which keep local copies of video/music/apps so that they don't need to continuously clog up the pipes in the middle pushing the same data over and over again. The upshot is that if a major line goes down you can still access your content.

Skype App 5.0 broke the cloud, who woulda thunk it?! Down here in Switzerland for users on the US store.

- I don't believe Tim Cook's new products anymore
- 1GB of RAM ain't enough
- This is what you get for having assembly lines in China
- Final proof that the iWatch is going to be released. Today.
- and the most important of all : "Analists predict that service will be restored in the near or far future."

And don't forget a new, 100% random, mockup of a new GUI for iTunes.

Was just going to post this. I can still get into my account and redeem codes, but no access to anything else. iTunes only problem for me.

Something about a lack of innovation in the store that resulted in iTunesgate.

Restarting my Apple TV brought back the movies and TV shows.

Thats why I can't upload any new music I bought on Bandcamp to the cloud as of recently...been stuck on matching songs for ages the past few days...really getting on my nerves!!!

I can't activate my new iPad...

The iTunes Store just came back up here...

In itunes store the "Tones" tab isnt working still. The rest is up

AHH SO GLAD THIS IS NOT JUST ME. Was pulling my hair out.

Weird....

I can get the app store on my ipad and iphone but not itunes or ibook store.

On my mac itunes is working, but very slow loading the store.

I've been having so much trouble trying to pull my music down after a restore yesterday that I'm considering going HTC.
