iPhone 5 feels really sluggish especially when unlocking

is there anything I can do aside from a restore and not using a "back up" as ive tried those things? i noticed lately my moms phone has slowed to a crawl is there apps that could be causing it? whenever i go to awake the phone from the time i push the home button to where im able to unlock its really slow. i gave her my phone so i know how it usually is, its like 3GS slow lol

If you've restored the phone and set it up as a new device and it's still sluggish, there may be something else going on.

Is it slow immediately after restoring?
