Will apple notice if my 5s was opened and won't sell me a replacement?

was opened for a repair (not by apple) but dropped it days later and screen cracked now iphone won't turn on or be recognized by itunes so apple care genius on their online chat told me to go into apple for replacement and my appointment is tomorrow morning. is there any way i can make it look like it wasn't opened?

please give me some hope guys D: haha

They may check to see if the seals are broken or just simply take it from you and give a replacement.
