I really messed up this time
my iPad was on iOS6.0.2 and I put a password when i was half asleep (i tend to do that)
the password - I'm pretty sure was 3596
anyway
iPad disabled after multiple tries - didnt want to update to iOS7, so semi restore
and now
when you restore your apple device - you get a launch screen
i have a password THERE!
I am not making this up
I've got just one more try left - please dont guess my password
i cannot connect it to iTunes because its a new iPad with the PASSWORD ON THE LAUNCH SCREEN

Even if the iPad is yours, I am pretty sure there is no way to find out your password(maybe edit a file with iFunBox if you are jailbroken???)

Enjoy your 7.1.1(or 5.1.1 if it is an original iPad)

Will i be able to install 6.1.3? i have the SHSH
i can stitch them with iFaith and try installing it via an old iTunes version

If you get thru this experience, you might consider the next time that you install a password while nearly unconscious, use something obvious to you, like your address, your phone number, birthday, etc. That way, even if you screw up, you'll have enough opportunities to try each one before you get locked out.

No_Only the iPhone 4,3GS and iPod Touch 4 can chose which iOS 6 they want.

If you have an iPad 2,you can go to either 7.1.2, 5.x.x or 4.x.x
If you have an iPad 3 on 5.1.1 or 5.0.1 you can re-restore to 5.1.1 or 5.0.1 but only while you are on those firmwares
iPad 4 and higher, you can't chose your iOS
