picture going blank in iphoto

Hi,

When working on a picture in Pixelmator, the original in iphoto all of a sudden turned blank. I never saved the Pixelmator version so I have no version left of my dear photo.

So far I've tried to rebuild the library - no success. I've also tried to locate the original through:
pictures -> iphoto library ->show package contents -> Originals (but this folder contains none of my recent footage)

Anyone knows any more possibilities? Btw, the photo looks blank but it still contains information about shutter speed and so on.

I solved the problem by using Pixelmators own restore-function (File > Revert To > Browse All Versions).
