Thanks for the effort! Please note image insertion tool does not work. I asked in the wiki instruction thread for info on how to work with images, links to images, and uploaded images. Thanks!!

It's working. Your image had two http://http:// tags

We're testing out this wiki post (1st post). Please try editing it and let me know how it goes.

I made some simple edits. Editing and comparing versions work well, except for a

Code:
- –––
+ –––
when comparing my first edit with the previous edit, although I don't think I touched that part of the post. That doesn't seem like a problem anyway.

Hmm... so they do, but attachments aren't history saved. so that could be vandalized.

Darn. I was considering inserting a dog cow in there - but figured that would be frowned upon.

On a side note dog cow (one word) is censored. the heck?

I'd love to know why it's censored as well. I tried to put it into my signature but I couldn't.

apparently "dogc" was censored for some reason, which affected dogcow

Oops. Don't know how that happened. I remember instructions on the guides page on how to upload images. To resurrect old guides, it would be helpful to offer instructions on how to review existing images, and upload new images to the MacRumors image library. Thanks!

I would think that if someone is editing it, it would lock it so another user can't edit at the same time. Not sure about that though.

it warns you if you are about to overwrite something that has been changed.

I don't know if the technology allows for it, but upon request (pm) when the wiki in one post becomes too big, is it also possible for the second, third, fourth... post to have a wiki status? Or is it hardcoded to be the first only?

The advantage of multiple posts is that you can link to them for individual chapters or sections in your wiki, instead of having to continuously scroll.
(You can, of course, also make multiple threads and link to there...)

In a coffee shop.
Excellent idea to have a 'wiki' thread, here; I can see it being of considerable use and help, as long as it is not abused.

Re post numbers in order to participate, 25 seems reasonable to me; a lot of people join the forum to fins an answer to a question or two, and have little interest in more extensive participation - accumulating 25 posts is not an insurmountable task.

Do you know when, because I already have an idea but it doesnt belong into iOS8, Yosemite or site feedback?

I've turned on Wiki on most forums now. Lemme know if you don't see it as an option.
