Woah! On 3G, I barely get 3mbps down, and 1.5mbps up! And I'm with Telstra as well ;)

That was over wi-fi, 100Mbps cable, I get 90+ when in the same room. Or 17MB/sec off iTunes server. I can download a HD movie in 15mins on my mac. Ridiculous I know.

Off my mac

Slower than 96% of Thailand……. but paying as much as most. No phone, cable or wifi to my apartment, so "mobile broadband" is the only option…. up to 7.2 Mb/sec. advertised but currently getting just 3.5% of that. Cannot say that is it false advertising, strictly speaking, but somewhat misleading none the less.

Cloud computing, cloud storage, streaming, download Mavericks… forget it.

I'm happy with it. I actually get around 150 when downloading games via steam. Which is more than I pay for. Only have a 100 connection.

I made some simple changes to our DNS server a few days ago and also we made some changes to the fiber network at my office and subsequently, and dramatically, increased our speed.

I love fiber!
