I got my 11" a couple of days ago. My first instinct was to get the 13", but I liked the portability factor so I gave it a try. I am nearsighted so I had to use my glasses every time I used the 11". I really really wanted it to work, because that 11" is so sleek and portable. Nevertheless, this 13" Macbook Air is near perfection. I love it!

I didn't even try to use the 11" despite loving its form factor due to its small vertical resolution. I had been working with 1280x800 before getting a 13" MBA, so I knew right away that I would be frustrated if I had even less vertical space. Even with the extra 100 pixels in height than what I was working with before, I'm often wanting more space.

Congratulations on the new unit. It really depends on the user as to which is better for them. Many go from 11 to 13, or 13 to 11 and what works for one, may not work for another. That's why it's great to have choices:)

I went 11" to 13"... Loved them both as each fit my needs at the time. Needed the ultra portability and tiny form factor of the 11" when I was traveling a lot by aircraft from 2010 to 2012. Wanted the extreme battery life and larger display of the 13" when I was just going from home office to remote office (or Starbucks) from 2013 onward and didn't want to have to carry the charging brick. Both are fantastic computers.

I went from a 13" to an 11" and much prefer the 11".

The aspect ratio of the 11" took some getting used to but after I moved the dock from the bottom to the side, everything was good.

I travel a lot so the mobility of the 11" outweighs the screen size, battery life, and SD slot on the 13". Though my eyesight isn't the greatest I find the 11" quite usable even all day long.

I am going from a 11 to a 13 myself. I got a MBA 11 (used) a while back to use as a beater computer. I really love the MBA, but the 11 is a bit small for me. It is a great little computer, but I have trouble seeing the screen w/o squinting or wearing glasses (or zooming in on pages). I definitely love the weight and how thin the MBA is over the MBP.

I grabbed a 13 on the Best Buy sale over the weekend. I am very impressed with the 13. Another determining factor for me is that I hear the 13 has better battery life than the 11.

I swapped mine!

I had the 11' for six months or so. I really enjoyed it, but I had never had a laptop larger than 11' so of course I was always wondering what a bigger laptop would be like. SO I swapped my 11' for a 13', and I have to say it is much better in my opinion. I never notice the weight/size difference, I only notice the larger screen and bigger palm rests, which are so much nicer to type on for me than the 11'. Both Airs are great but the 13 is the one for me:)
Though if I was traveling all the time I'd have to go for the little 11'. One of the reasons the 13 is great for me is cause my Air is basically a home computer.

I initially got an 11" because I wanted to get away with the smallest, most portable laptop and to be something I could write on in almost any situation. I liked the size, but something about the 16:9 aspect ratio really bugged me, especially for writing...just seemed too narrow.

Have a 13" now, seems big but still light enough.

I went from a new 15" MBPro Retina to a 13" Air and love it. Run Win7 Pro via BootCamp and Windows did not look good on the Retina but is perfect on the 13" Air.

Have to do a little additional scrolling on the 13", can not imagine a tiny 11" screen!

i think the screen will stay the same but the bezel will shrink.
They might discontinue the 11" then :(
I'd be quite surprised to see the 11" discontinued. I think it more likely that the 13" MBA be the one, replaced by a 12". The 13" MBA and MBP are too close as they currently are.

When I was looking to get an MBA, there was a significant size difference between the 11 and 13. I ended up choosing the 11 for ultra-portability. With the proper aspect ratio, the 12 would still be larger enough than the 11 to be a difference.

The only thing that kept me from getting an 11" was the lack of an SD card slot. I use SD cards a lot, so having the slot was a must for me.

All of this shows that having choice is GOOD!

Yes, the option to choose between the 11" and the 13" is nice, but I cannot see how someone can use the 11" all the time. Even my 13" cMBP seems small. And it's a good thing that we don't live in North Korea, where we wouldn't have a choice. #
