Wondering if the bump to 2.8 is worth it? Besides the extra 300 MHz which, because I'm compressing video in compressor might save me a few min. Is there any other benefit to this chip. (cache or graphics?) Not sure the $200 extra will be worth it.

I think it has 1MB more L2 cache?

I looked today, from what I can see, no difference than clock speed. You can effectively make the refresh a .5Ghz bump if you're not interested in a price drop.

Eh that's a good point. The price did drop so it's a little cheaper than it was.

Unless you're performing CPU intensive tasks and every last second counts, there's no reason to spend the money on the CPU upgrade.

I agree with this also. Probably better to save the money than spend it for faster CPU cycles that you'll probably never really use.
