Hi all,

My official 60w Magsafe charger for my 13" Macbook Pro (late 2011) flayed and is no longer useable. I purchased the laptop in Australia but currently reside in Germany. Is it ok to use an official 60w Magsafe charger purchased here in Germany with my Australian Macbook Pro?

The store I would like to purchase it from (http://www.saturn.de/mcs/product/AP...o-MC416Z-A,48352,325522,322755.html?langId=-3) lists these details: 'Apple 60 Watt Magsafe for 13 inch Macbook pro MC416Z/A'. I have no idea what these last numbers refer to or if it would affect my laptop.

Cheers

Yes, it appears to be an official Apple MagSafe charger. It should work fine with your MBP.

Thanks for the response.

I just located the magsafe through an australian retailers online store (https://www.jbhifi.com.au/computers...watt-magsafe-power-adapter-for-macbook/51012/). They list the model number as MC461X/A. Do you know what this stands for and/or whether purchasing a different model will affect my Macbook's battery?
MC461X/A is Apple's part number for that adapter. That adapter is designed to work with your Mac. Make sure you have the right adapters to fit the plugs to the power sockets in your country.
