I come to my fellow Mac Users with a dilemma.

I have a MacBook Pro Late 2008 (bought near release) 15 inch display that I have to keep running for the forseeable future. (No money available for replacement) I have upgraded the RAM to 8GB, HDD to 750GB and am now replacing the battery for the (n)th time I think. I've gone through enough of them.

1-2 were rated as consumed.
3rd was not fully consumed but after some diagnostic work by myself, was deemed malfunctioning (would not charge)
4th (current) is nearing the end of its lifespan (1507 load cycles) and is at 81.2% capacity.

My local Apple dealer sells the official Apple battery for $150 CAD and an aftermarket for $85. The aftermarket brand is Dr. Battery and is ID LAP205 and would be the one I go with. Money is a factor.

Does anyone else have experience with Dr. Battery aftermarket batteries? Should I go with them?

Thanks,
