I'm just wondering what is the best / cheapest prepaid solution to get around 5GB of 3G / 4G internet for my iPad Air for a week in California (in December).

Can i just go to the store at the airport, buy nano sim card and place it in my iPad?

I do that often in Europe (ex. in Austria I get 10GB starter for 10 euro).

If you go to the Apple page under iPad (bottom of the page), you get some pricing on data plans.

The provider you can use depends on the iPad you bought.

Verizon iPad: Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile
Sprint iPad: Sprint, AT&T, T-Mobile
AT&T iPad: AT&T, T-Mobile
T-Mobile iPad: T-Mobile, AT&T

Are there any other options than those mentioned in the Apple's store? What about your personal experience - any advice?
