Has anyone successfully modified the Magic Trackpad so that it will use wired USB instead of Bluetooth? (I'm not referring to USB-powering solutions such as the Mobee Power bar, but a complete wired USB connection for communication/power instead of wireless).
Although I haven't found any circuit schematic I did find the iFixit Magic Trackpad teardown which shows how to access the internal electronics and mentions the main chips used. I'm hoping someone with the right knowledge might find a way to locate the needed signals for attaching a USB cable.
If this can be done the next question is if OSX will be able to detect and use the Trackpad when it expects to see it via Bluetooth.
