Cause that would cost me $300 extra. The store is kind enough to replace my Air with the newer 2014 model, which is actually $200 more than my refund would be. So the store ordering it is like my only way to get 8GB RAM.

The line issue I'm having seems to be related to the 2013 one. And all the 2013 refurbs i've seen dont have 8GB of RAM unless they have the i7.
