Looks interesting - still on pre-order, but it solves my only complaint with the MiniSwap .. Size. It still acts like a swap enclosure to a degree - pop it open and plug in - just not hot swap - no big deal

Rob has it on the list at Bare Feats - http://www.barefeats.com/hard189.html

Looks like it hangs right with the Mini performance wise and tops any Thinderbolt single enclosure yet again.

Thoughts?

An alternative is the Inateck FEU3NS-iE. It is $19 on Amazon and does UASP which give 400+ speeds between the enclosure and your Mac. I have a Samsung EVO 840 1TB in one and it is fast and stable.

Agree, the Inateck is great. The travel group I consult prefers a more durable box. They tend to abuse the gear. An aluminum case might give them a fighting chance. They're about 2 to 1 trashing WD Passports. When the switch to SSD happens (likely with 1TB evos) this might be the right choice for them.

Personally, the Inateck would suit me just fine. I don't walk around in a jungle very often ;)
