I have 2 daughters, one practice TKD and the other Ballet. This weekend I was hoping to take some shots that capture the motion of their movements. I have been playing with 2nd curtain sync and and Multi (or stroboscopic) flash. any suggestions is appreciated.

I forgot to mention these were shot with a Canon 6D @ f4, 1.0 sec, ISO 100 using a inexpensive (cheap) Yongnuo 560 III flash. in my cramp basement studio.

Use a camera with multi exposure mode. You can also shoot high speed sequences and put multiple photos in layers in a post processing app.

Good ideal MCAsan. Here is a shot experimenting with Multi Exposure Mode with 2nd Curtain Flash.

I try to stay away from post processing effects other then tweaks in LR, it forces me to work on my camera skills more.

Thanks for the good ideal.
