I have a late 2008 a1278 unibody model. I recently replaced the airport card because WiFi was not working at all. I replaced the card, and still no luck with WiFi. So then I replaced the airport/iSight/Bluetooth cable today. Still no luck. I do notice on iFixIt in this guide it says that the logic board can be damaged if a cable is inserted the wrong way (see image link below).

I'm not sure if I ever did that but it could be possible, and if so, is this what damage the guide is talking about? However Bluetooth and camera work fine. I have tried resetting SMC/NVRAM, all that. Nothing. I have tried going into recovery and looking for WiFi.WiFi does not even show up in the network tab in system preferences. I think I have explored all possible options but haven't found anything. Can anyone help me??? Really a hassle to have to use Internet through a USB tether all the time.
