Some impressive collections here! I like the pet habitats/aquarium ones too. I always thought about getting one of the 17" sunflower models just because I always wanted one... but I know I'd never use it and it would just take up valuable desk real estate. Instead I will live vicariously through these posts.

I posted this in the PowerPC section but might be better here. I have tons more not pictured like powerbooks and stuff.

Nice Macs and a very clean set-up! I am curious as to how you got that old monitor hooked up to your Mac Mini. I have a cable that converts the old Apple display connection to VGA. Since the older Apple monitors, such as one I have from 1987, have male inputs, I tried to use that cable to connect a VGA-compatible Mac to it the old monitor, but I didn't get a signal.

That looks like one of the best National Geographic libraries Ive ever seen also (unless I am mistaken then never mind)

They do all work, except for the Apple II because the power supply died just yesterday (blown up capacitor, lots of smoke). Also, the Macintosh Portable has a dead battery, but most laptops from 1989 tend to have that.

Luckily I have made some new friends at the Dutch Applemuseum and they can provide me with parts and help.

Yes, those are National Geographics; (nearly) complete collection from the '50s until now. Thanks!

Checking the local eBay on a daily basis, some luck. :D

May I ask how much you got it for?

Which one? The Apple II? I got it for about 400 dollars. Not sure about its value, but its very rare in The Netherlands and I got it from the original owner (!). Its from 1979, week 9.

That's pretty good for a week-9 Apple II! Although, I was referring to the TAM. Sorry for not specifying; I thought it was implied that we were speaking of the TAM.

Sorry, I wasn't looking at the full conversation there. The TAM was also some 400 dollars.

Depending on when you got it, $400 is a pretty good price. I usually see them for no less than $800. They are too uncommon for my area; I'd like one, but it doesn't look like it's gonna happen.

I just picked this up. Its still sealed in its factory packaging too. Never opened! Which is sad cause I kinda wanna open it up see whats in there. Can't imagine why someone would have spent $1000 on this and then never opened it.

Anyone able to tell, without opening it, if its v1.0 or v1.01, ect. ?

I'm not sure to what level you can differentiate, but have a look along the top and bottom of the box for a label. There may be some numbers that get you closer to a version.

I actually setup V1 (or was it 2) of Server not too long after it came out. Painful, but I was able to netboot - albeit slowly.

Here are some of my favorites from my collection, some are too large or too small for this wall unit.

Love the presentation. Hoping to do something like that in my basement one of these years. (I thought it would be "pretty soon" back in 2008, but it still hasn't happened...)

I wish I could do that with some of my Macs, as it would cut down on the floor space I have to use for them. I live in the earthquake state, so I had to plan my museum display accordingly. Currently, I have my Macs on low, identical coffee tables, which in-total take around half of the wall space in the room, and the middle of the room as well.

What is the model of the machine below the eMac (third up from the bottom far right side)?

Well, as I mentioned in my post above, I did get the iBook (12in. 1.33GHz Mid. 2005) and a Macintosh 512ke with all original manuals and system tools. I also got the original Macintosh Keyboard and Mouse, and another Apple Keyboard II. So my collection has grown to 11 computers in total.

I would value everything for $120~150. Not too high, yet a pretty fair price. I got mine with 3 cases of disks, IBM printer, Fan, keyboard, mouse, original carrying case, expansion port unit, and original manuals for $120, and the computer was in great condition for being 25ish years old and being used in college.
