No revamped DS1513+ (yet)?
So, the 9/18/14 announcement came and went. There were a few new NAS boxes announced and the beta release of the DSM 5.1 software.
But with no DS1513+ announcement, I'm wondering which direction the OP may be leaning now. Personally, I've got to pull the trigger sooner than later. I sure hate to buy something, only to have it trumped by a successor a few weeks later but I'm at a tipping point with my photo storage. (Maxed out.) I don't have much more time to wait.
Anyway, I'm wondering what else they could do to improve on the 1513+ anyway? Seems like the software (DSM 5.1) might bring in more improvements than a hardware update. What could they really add to the box to make it better? Faster / better processor? Higher RAM capacity?
