When our 4s was connected to Image Capture (6.3), old and new images were scrambled in no recognizable order. Any fix for this issue? Connecting the 4s to iPhoto (9.5.1) was fine; iPhoto recognized old(previously downloaded images) and new images. Would prefer to use Image Capture to reduce storage space in picture files.

So when you opened your pics in image capture, it's in a random order? Is that what you're saying? If so, is it just arranging them in a random order or is it renaming the files? If the file names are still in numerical order, just order your file display to be arranged by file name and it'll display them in sequential order (ie. IMG_00412, 413, 414, etc.)

image capture

Great call! iPhone mages are in order provided list function is clicked. However, Image capture then starts to download all images, old and new. My wife stores 3K + images in albums on the iPhone. I've highlighted new images but Image Capture still down olds old and new. Any further thoughts on getting the beast to behave?
