I have one now and I'm extremely underwhelmed. Sliding doesn't do anything, notes get stuck. Feels like a toy that was abandoned. No manual other than how to connect it. This is unfinished at best so far. Unless I find a way to get sliding and stuck notes fixed, I'm returning it.

Thanks for your personal input.

Sounds like a complete let down, sorry to hear.

It does have a medium-high price tag to suffer from such lack of quality, information and under-performance.

Better return it should it not perform as needed

Hey Vic-Viper, send me a message here - as well as anyone else w/ ?'s

Hi Chris Heille here, I'm the Music Product Specialist w/ Zivix, the makers of the jamstik.

I understand the nature and tone of Vic-Viper's reply, but I'd like to point to a number of resources we have available online for users and curious parties to check out:

http://jamstik.com/pages/howto

http://jamstik.com/pages/faq

The printed manual we supply is indeed very brief because very few people even take the time to look at a manual, and there's a better opportunity to provide resources in-app or online to help customers.

Regarding sliding and other fretting hand techniques - we have some features in development (and some features that are available on the jamstik whose accessibility we don't openly disclose) because apps, sound design, and software for MIDI is overwhelmingly designed for keyboard controllers. The resulting experience when some of these features are played is unpredictable and not what you'd expect. Until some of these guitar-esque control features get implemented on a wider basis were not going to advertise them. (It would be like claiming a smartphone had some excellent ability to exceed LTE performance in a market LTE didn't even exist.)

Also - Vic-Viper needs to contact me if he's unsatisfied and we'll make things right, we're not out to ruin anyone's day. However, we've recruited "unsatisfied" customers to our beta testing ranks in the past, and it's something we entertain often. If the discussion stays productive we love the opportunity to ideate, refine, and produce better hardware and software with users. It's all about creating good tools for lots of applications.
