With all the upgrades and new iPhone users trying to setup their iPhones Apple and Carriers will be crushed and crash leaving most people with a new usable iPhones through the weekend.

Naw. They'll probably be unusable.

It's AT&T, VZN, Sprint and T-Mobile so I would not be at all shocked if they crashed. Those companies are such a hot mess.

Well unlike the preorder everyone won't be doing it at exactly the same time so I don't see that issue being replicated. With that said, I have Sprint so no doubt they will be crushed regardless.

I'm almost willing to bet a lot of money that AT&T's activation servers will crash a few hours into launch day. They sell the largest share of iPhones and it's the same story every year. The first few hours it's fine, but then as the day goes on... it takes forever.

It hasn't been a problem in the past few years and there were millions of setups too. No reason to expect any differently, even with 5 million or so more preorders.

Doubtful. This hasn't ever been a problem before...

I have seen activation take upwards of 15 minutes, but it wont be the end of the world.

I remember on the original iPhone my activation took 3 days to complete because iTunes couldn't connect with ATT.

Kinda feels like that might be happening again.
