I know I asked a similar question, sorry... hopefully though, this is more succinct and I can finally wrap this up today. This is almost a $1000 purchase with tax and I wanna make sure I get it right.

It seems there are 3 choices, though none of carriers say "unlocked." They say "contract free" or something like that. I'm confident that they either come unlocked or can be unlocked easily based on comments from others. However, I'm in a bind where to buy it from. Apple doesn't have their own version and talking to them is of no help.

I want the iPhone 6 (not 6+), 128gb.

AT&T and T-Mobile charge $849.
Verizon charges $649.

There must be something about the Verizon priced phone that makes it inferior. I can't believe they would be able to price the same phone and deal about 25% less than the others.

In addition, to the best of my knowledge, only the T-Mobile version can be bought directly from Apple. I don't know if that means anything.

Can someone steer me to the right choice?
