So I gave asphalt 8 another chance today because I totally quit because of the lag. I'm mirroring from my iPhone 5 to Apple TV on ios 8 and it's pretty smooth. I don't have the fastest internet connection but do have Apple TV plugg into Ethernet. I'm just surprised that the game fills up the whole TV screen unlike before ios 8. I'm just floored while using my Steelseries stratus controller. It's something like a game console experience going on here and I'm impressed. I had all but given up on playing games and mirroring without a cable.
