I can't believe people are still saying the guy's videos are fake, etc. Jesus the delusional fanboys in this place are at a point where it's sickening.

We get it! How many of you punks need to keep saying the same thing, over and over and over and over. "It's fake!" "That guy is a loser and a liar!" "I'm a fanboy and I simply can't stand for any criticism of the iPhone!" "Only 9 people have complained to Apple about bent phones!" "Apple said so!"

Please for the love of everything nice and good respectfully shut up already. The phone may have a design flaw/be poorly designed which may make it weak.

You obviously get mad at the fact that the video was turned out to be fake. It’s hard to accept the truth when the lies were exactly what you wanted to hear.

Ok, let me see if I get this straight. Some random dude on the Internet films a video bending the iPhone, and questioning him makes us delusional fanboys.

Then, Consumer Reports does some REAL stress tests and basically debunks this guy, but them for some reason we can't believe.

Did I sum it up for you?

CR did not debunk him or ANYONE! They didn't apply force to the weak spot below the volume button. It's not the same conditions at all.

There are actually people on this forum whether you want to believe them or not who are trying to take their phones back because they bent and they have no idea why.

The guy in question does 2 videos and you still think it's... whatever.

So here it is. Grab your or whoever's iPhone 6 Plus, grip it as he did, and try and bend it. Do it. Do it now. And if you don't do it, then respectfully shut up and forever hold your peace.

U seem a lil worked up over this. It's a phone. Like most things, they can bend or worse break. Why try to do that? That's stupid.

----------

Why call people punks in here?

iPhone bends at 70lb of pressure according the consumer reports, which isn't much at all. If you sat on it on a soft chair, it would be bent.

No it probably wouldn't. If you sat on your phone on a soft chair you are not applying 70lbs of force into the middle.

----------

Get a grip mate, punching a tv screen is not normal use (and you will need to punch hard to make any significant damage).

Phone in your pocket or even accidentally sit on top (women being doing this since forever) its a normal behavior and if the phone bents its just not the superior build quality people always claim with the iPhone.

I have been using iPhones since 2007, not once did I sit on them. How is that normal behaviour?

----------

Learn to read mate, and nope people have sit for years on phones without bending hell I sleep sometimes with my phone in bed and it's not rare for me to wake up and find it getting "chrushed" by my weight with no damm bend.

Stop defending this lol this phones are more fragile than they need to be.

Some people are really ignorant.

I sleep with my phone for sleep tracking, and there's no way you can apply 70 lbs force on your phone's center even if you crush it on your bed. It's a bed. You would have to apply the force to a single point on the phone to bend it. Applying it to the whole surface would divide the force and not cause any damage. Has everyone missed their high school physics?

I bet you have never drop a phone in the toilet right? Yet a large percentage of people do.... Just because you have "never" sit on your phone by accident doesn't mean others haven't.

Is it normal for people to have accidents?

Sitting on your phone seems like a bad idea to me, like trying to bend it, or put a weight on top of it. I bet if I put a lit stick of tnt on it, it would blow up. I think we have a boomgate problem here guys.

And if you drop your phone in the toilet, do you make a video showing it and claim that Apple should make phones that are undroppable?

Thanks for proving how stupid this thing has become.

Absolutely normal for people to have accidents, heck also it seems normal human behaviour to then try and blame the manufacturer...Hence the iPhone has water damage sensors in it from later models onwards to catch those idiots out...People should take a little self responsibility...

That's not the point lol the thing is accidents happend and they need to improve design to avoid this kind of things.

That's like saying tire manufactures shouldn't improve on safety, better material etc because a random item is on road is not their problem; of course it's not but you expect they test tires for normal use with includes this kind of scenario.

Either way mate I'm already tired of this thing, just waiting for November lol

And that's what they did. They tested the phones for everyday use. I don't take my iPhone and try to bend it with such sheer force during everyday use, so I don't think Apple should be spending any R&D for stupid guys trying to bend their phones, or iPads for that matter.

At this point is too early to know, but I wouldn't be surprise of this becomes a problem in the near future with the stress they phones will have nye long run.

I waited too long for a big screen, so I don't really mind since it will be easy to avoid any damage with a case.

Ahh, you've revealed the watergate problem.

The iPhone 6+ has been deigned to go perfectly round the u- bend gone forever to stop these water damage toilet drop claims. Apple is always one step ahead

Tell me then, Mr. Uber-Smart, why would someone who is about to bend a brand new phone 1. pan the camera away for a few seconds and 2. SET IT UP?? If I were to bend an iPhone that I just bought, the "slide to set up" screen would be enough to prove it's working. Why would he go through the hassles to get to the homescreen? :)

According to your other posts, whenever you don't know what to say in a discussion because someone else made a great point, you accuse them of being delusional fanboys and praising Apple and so on. Is that how you settle arguments?
If you steal another kid's toy, and I'm assuming this example might be more life-like to you, and your teacher tells you to give it back, do you yell "You are a delusional psycho, praising this other kid, go ahead try to take it away from me!!" ? Yes, probably, cause that is just what you did here.

Can't think of a single scenario where carrying this phone in my front pocket or sitting with the phone in my front pocket can apply 70 lbs force on the phone's center. There's just no way. When I sit, my front pocket is pretty loose. The phone can even move freely inside.

Lol. I thinks we need to update this to a sewergate problem. Anyone who finds it has the TMNT iphone edition

Sorry I was editing to add another line but safari on ios8 froze and locked up again. I had to go view Twitter till it unlocked :(

The bend is a deliberate design so it flies right round the toilet bowl and dissaoears forever. Puts an end to water damage claims. Users then need to buy s whole new iPhone. Apple wins. They are so smart haha
