So I assume you want to purchase full price without a contract?

If you buy Verizon you are going to have to create an account to purchase and pay an activation fee but then could cancel.

The same is true with AT&T but you also have to wait 60 days before you can submit an unlock request?

T-mobile no account needed with no activation fee.

Correct - Full Price - No Contract. When you pay full price from the Apple Store the are unlocked and can be activated on any service you choose. No need to wait 60 days or setup any accounts.

Has anyone tried reserving a iphone 6 for verizon or att online and using a fake drivers license number / SSN and then going to the store and buying it full price/off contract? I ask only verizon and att because sprint seems to ask you for your account pin.

Im able to check out with the fake license/ssn but wondering if there would be any issues when i get to the store and i tell them to void the original transaction and to rering it up without a contract.

I haven't been able to place my order though. The phone seems to get sold by the time I check out but still, i rather bet my chances on finding an att specific model for pick up than the tmo ones.

Perhaps dhartung was referring to making the online reservation -- walk-in, you can definitely get it device-only. Problem is that device-only for reservations only exists for tmo, afaik.

Absolutely ZERO 6 plus AT&T at the apple store and I was first line. What a joke. At least they were nice enough to come out 30 minutes early and talk to us.

Manhattan is going nuts

New color scheme :
- Green = refill in last 15 minutes
- Blue = refill in last 1 hour
- Yellow = refill in past 12 hours

What's everyone in DFW up to? I'm waiting outside Southlake right now with about 10 in front of me. It's not looking promising for me but interested to hear the situation and stock nearby once everyone finds out.

Guys in So Cal Best Buy is stocking up. A couple of friends went by and got the phones. They had plenty of 6+ but this was for att. They were told that best buy were getting more sat night to sell Sunday. The Cerritos store had SG 128gb and Tustin store had gold and silver available 64gb yesterday when they closed. I was able to buy one at apple last night to pick up today or else I would be heading to Best Buy good luck.

Really??? I tried calling the Cerritos store yesterday morning at 10 and they said there was nothing in stock!!! Since I had to drive from sd I didn't want to waste my time. Called a couple of others stores too in the area and same response.

That's incredibly illegal man...

I am outside Frisco store. Second in line. Don't know about the availability yet. Guy in front of me wants t-mobile. I am waiting for space gray.

About to lose it...

DH was given a really hard time about the iphone 6 not being on contract and switching to next.

Said that he couldn't switch because the phone would go back to stock and eligibility would not come back immediately...

I offered to cancel my preorder and use my line for it.... No can do doesn't match the number...

Seriously?!

They said he had to do the contact...

I told him I buy it outright and he was given resistance too... Not sure how it ended...

Haven't heard back right now about it he's at a meeting...

I told him walk out with the phone and we will deal with the companies tomorrow...

But I'm going to battle Apple and ATT... If this is how they treat their customers I'm going to switch carriers...

From what I gather its ATT's rules that are messing everything up and not Apple...

Let me know what kind of stock they have for AT&T I'm really close to that store. Also how big is the line?

which SF store are you at? stonestown, or downtown? I'm closest to stonestown, but they seem like a bunch of douches. every time I go there to ask questions they seem so annoyed. plus it seems like there are more scalpers down there.

also, how early did you get there to be second in line?

Why? Its the same concept of making an actual new line online to reserve (with your actual drivers license/ssn) and then going to the store and canceling the order to rebuy. Only reason why I don't want to put in my drivers and ssn is i want to take all steps to avoid any credit pulls.

This wouldn't be the issue if apple allowed people to purchase phones with off contract pricing. Being unlocked isn't even a bit deal to me, its the fact that they have att phones that arent available for personal pick up unless you make a line.

Little Rock hasnt gotten any AT&T/T-Mobile 128Gb 6 Plus all week. The Store manager and their staff are holding one as soon as one comes in. They are making good on a reservation I had opening weekend Saturday where they couldnt find the phone i had reserved.

First in line at Newport Beach apple store this morning, hoping and praying for 6+ 64gb gold att

Cause it's illegal to use a fake ssn or ID no matter what circumstance.

No 6+'s at Southlake (except for Sprint). They had plenty of 6's though. I spoke with a store associate about the issues with reserving AT&T NEXT online and he confirmed that there's nothing you can do and that ordering it on contract will mess things up. He also confirmed that some inventory is allocated towards in-store pick up. He said it's about 30% of the shipment for in-store, 70% online. I'm to the point where I may just buy a regular 6 and be done with all of this.
