iCloud drive and video storage

At the moment I have 1TB of storage with Google Drive. I was thinking about moving this to iCloud but the document picker doesn't appear in the Videos app on iOS (my Google Drive is mainly storing my DVD collection).

Does anyone know if access to the iCloud drive for video playback is on the horizon?

I'd love to see apps like AvPlayerHD implement this. If iCloud Drive gets selective sync I'm going to upgrade to 1TB as well.
