By fixing the Phone which I'm sure Apple is already doing silently as they did the 4's Antenna.

Apple doesn't give two craps about some kids bending phones, even if kids all around the world bend 10,000 phones - that the profit loss of a hair on a flys ass for Apple.

Right now Apple is more focused on the other 50 to 70 Million iPhone 6's floating around out there and finding a solution for this mess. Im curious to see how Tim Cooks handles this because it is obviously not going away anytime soon like I thought it would.

you say apple doesn't care if kids walk into apple stores and bend display iPhones so anyone coming into the store will see bent iPhones. Thats official from apple is it

That video is no more informative than the video's that already exist of the iPhone bending. Video's I must add that were carried out on iPhone's that had been purchased officially and were being used to demonstrate the issue.

This video showed two teenagers walk into a shop and commit criminal damage to a number of products that they had no intention of buying. They probably caused a couple of thousand pounds worth of damage and its completely wrong. Apple may be a multi billion pound company, but this sort of vandalism is completely uncalled for and I hope they are caught.

Any informative merit is lost from this video because it involves criminal activity and its been reported to both Apple and Norwich police.

Absolute rubbish.
You don't walk into a shop and test display products to destruction. It is not the consumers right to do that. If this was okay, many companies would go out of business through waste and spoilage! You can not steal products from a shop because it costs the business money, and vandalising products on display also costs money so it is also a criminal offence.

Nobody has the right to vandalise goods in a shop, nobody.

soon we'll have people walking into newsagents and setting the newspapers section alight....just to see if paper burns...

it's all good as it's informative for the general public.

gosh whats the world becoming....

If apple made sturdier phones, kids would'nt be bending iphones.

if car manufacturers made sturdier cars nobody would die in car crashes....

Can't belief they do that. Hope their parents will be made to pay for it. The little *****.

In a different reality. My iPhone 6+ has been in my trouser pockets all week, whilst driving, train commuting, sitting, dining, dog walking, horse riding, car washing, wall paper stripping, furniture moving etc. absolutely fine for size and straighter than my ...

I'm confident to just use it as a smart phone just like normal. What s stupid hype.

Apple at the moment is solely focused on replenishing the out of stock stores and sending out the thousands of internet orders that have a 4 week delivery estimate...

They are stupid for doing that but it clearly shows how easy it is to bend the iPhone. This isn't going to go away. Clearly, a mistake has been made somewhere.

They're just kids, warn them and put more security on the iPhones.

thats the last thing we want. The apple experience will be ruined. It will turn into a museum :( don't touch this don't touch that, people cueing to get their turn. Or worse over bearing security making everyone uncomfortable

Nah, all it shows is that if you are intent on breaking something on purpose you. Wow, no **** Sherlock really.

Now if there were many reports where under normal usage these phones are bending AND Apple refuses to swap them around then yes there is a proper story. Until such time it is annoying at best and a malicious attempt at share price manipulation.

Guards with guns and some attack dogs so there will be intimidation factor present. Also security cameras and warning signs all around (vandalism will get you warned).

I hope they get prosecuted and fined.

I still can't believe people think that this is a design flaw. This is not normal use. If the phone bends in the front pocket, then you have an issue, but I just don't see much of a chance of that happening. In the back pocket, you risk smashing the thing.

What these kids are doing is destruction of property. Do people go into an auto store and test drive vehicles above the red-line? I'll get of the soap box.

Name some other phones which can be bent by a 12 year old in 10 seconds? Definitely not normal use, but looks to be far too weak compared to other phones on the market

12 year old??

You mean a 17 year old applying so much force that his hand was shaking and his fingers were red and white and he still needed to do it several times and change the grip on the phone twice?

Ah ok!

Someone please post a video of their arms getting twisted until the joint pops out of the socket :p OMG who knew it can actually pop up  Design flaw

The fact is, within weeks we're going to see all competitor phones lined up on youtube and the iphone will be the only one that fails the 'bend' test easily. It will get millions of views. Not to mention all the bent iphones you will see on display. This whole things 'looks' horrible, and for a company like Apple where 'optics' is evertything. To the average joe, this doesn't look good.

The best analogy is like the drop test, all phones will eventually break when dropped but the iphone is the only one which drops from knee height or maybe even ankle height

A 12 year old can brake a TV in less then 5 seconds!
A 12 years old can set a house on fire in less then 5 seconds!
A 12 years old can crash your car in less then 5 seconds.
As it appearers on the video, a 12 years old can bend a phone in less then 10 seconds, that surprisingly to some is not made to purposely be bended but it's made to be used by humans, you know...... in a human way ;)

This argument is stupid! Does it really matter if it bends easier? You are not meant to bend it with your bare hands, end of story. Now if it bends while you have it on your front pocket, that would be a different matter and of course would be an issue.

All we can do to help apple is to show our iPhones and say nope mines fine. That'll help.

Wrong!

Best analogy would be to throw your phone in to solid concrete. Not many phones survive that but it is not normal use.
