Same here. I called ups and they said it was a weight problem and they couldn't be loaded. The lady said it shouldn't effect my 10/6 delivery but if it does then I should call back. Soooo I'm sure it'll get delayed. Great..

Yeah, I tried live chat and got a copy/pasted reply that was next to useless. A weight problem is probably a bigger delay as it will likely have to wait for another plane. Yeah, I don't imagine this will arrive by 10/6 either.
You know what's really upsetting is that it sat in China for 5 days, then when they decided to ship it on the 6th day they're like "uh oh, too heavy"....or whatever the problem is. Seems like this could have been figured out the 5 days it sat on the ground.
But I've never worked in the shipping business, so what do I know...
I think it's safe to say UPS will continue to delay our packages. They did the same thing over-and-over again to the 10/1-10/6 batch. UPS=piss poor service!
Both Apple and UPS are a bunch of #@$%-ups. The preorder was a disaster and the subsequent UPS shipping has been just as bad.

My phone is apparently taking a tour of Asia. And, now I have an "exception". WTF is wrong with UPS? This has been a giant mess, IMO. Oh, well. At least my delivery date hasn't slipped from 10/6. That was what my original "your item has shipped" email from Apple said.

What Lawsuit. Apple has been doing this, now, for 7 years. I really do not think they are doing it on purpose, making us wait for these phones. They want to sell as much phones as possible. It is hard to predict the demand increase. They are stuck between having phones in stock and shipping phones to customers. They have to have balance. I hope I get my phone soon...

Estimated delivery is when UPS gets their **** together!
So I ordered my 6 plus on the 12th and my wife did the same that evening. Mine went to preparing for shipment and shipped before hers did. We both originally had 10/2 dates. But mine seems to be on the same tour of Asia while hers has also been in Kentucky since Sunday and is still scheduled for tomorrow. I now have 10/6.
Apple is still within the agreed time of 10/14-10/21 and you agreed to this by not cancelling your order prior to it being shipped. I am sure there will be no lawsuits.
I never said I would seek a lawsuit. Only that under these conditions with a lot of unhappy customers something would likely happen.
I have been in preparing to ship for over 24 hours......not looking like I will get my phone this week. I wonder if National Day has anything to do with the delay.
On the bright side, my (free) case will arrive Monday so at least I won't have to worry about that when my phone eventually arrives.....

That is what I expect has happened (it may already be at the Redmond, WA facility) and will update later today or tomorrow since my delivery date still shows tomorrow (2 October).
