iphone 6 battery lasts longer than iphone 5/5s?

I feel like I have been using my 6 a lot more than my 5s because its new and I am just playing around with it, but I am getting much better battery life than my 5s. I was getting 7-8 hours of moderate to heavy use on my 5s (which I was extremely happy with) and I am now getting 10+ hours easily on my 6.
It definitely lasts longer, I usually take my phone off the charger at around 815 every morning and with my 5S I would have to charge it around 430 to make sure it lasted into the night, with my 6, I use it the same and it lasts all the way until 1030-11 with it either dying or having 10% left, that's with more YouTube watching and playing some games, so for sure it's an improvement, it's definitely as good as the iPhone 4 was when it first came out with iOS 4 and 5, it was a beast with battery life then, always knew Id never have to charge it during the day
Yep, used to come home with 30-40% on my 5S. My 6 is returning home with 60-70% when I put it on the charger.
