I'm wondering what's going on with AT&T Silver 64GB 6'es. There's one Apple Store in the entire COUNTRY that has it.

Tonight 1am order online for in store pickup Saturday

Just wanted to update anyone who has read the thread lately and saw the issues I was having. I purchased a full retail iphone through Apple.com for in store pickup. I can verify that purchasing through the online store for pickup DID extend my contract two years with Verizon. The iPhone 6 that I preordered using my upgrade was returned and my Verizon account was saying that I still signed a two year commitment when purchasing the iPhone 6+ for full retail. The CSR had to contact her supervisor to cancel the contract and have it returned to month to month, which I am still waiting for that change to occur.

So this backs up the apple store emailed receipt showing two year commitment and $30 upgrade fee. The CSR said this makes no sense and I know we all agree with that. Full retail is full retail. You can't extend a contract with full retail. I don't know whatever is wrong with Apple's ordering system but it should be fixed with a quickness. There is no reason for them to have the ordering system as flawed as it is for the new phones. If I want to get online and reserve an iPhone 6 for full retail, I should be able to without going through my verizon account and checking for eligibility or not. Not too thrilled with all the mess this has caused when it is something that can be fixed through the website rather easily.

In summary, my upgrade purchased 6 that was returned was not linked to my contract extension. It was the 6+ for full retail that kept my contract extended out and didn't allow it to revert to month to month. The receipt is posted earlier in the thread, a page or two I think.

The Apple Stores in Rochester and Syracuse New York definitely got a large shipment of AT&T Grey pluses this morning. I was able to place an order for my brother hours after I got the sea turtle notification.

Honestly, what is it with Sacramento and SG ATT 64GB 6 Pluses? I've had iStockNow notifications going almost since they started, and not a single one has shown up.

Yea somethings up with the Bay Area/Sac stores. I bought my plus from the Roseville store the day after launch, and I haven't seen ANY in stock since then. I have a feeling they're holding their stock aside for early morning walk-ins.

That's strange. I purchased 3 verizon 6+ at full retail and while it did say 2 year contract on apples page, verizon told me I was still on month to month.

Im not too sure of the specifics of that, but I would simply ask if you could cancel the order and then repurchase in store and go from there. This is a workaround and surely they have had to deal with it as I've seen a few people on here say they have done it. If I was smarter at the time, I would have done the return/rebuy method. Let us know how it goes and what they say about the fees and contract stuff, if you ask.

So, it didn't exactly go as planned but I think it worked out ok. I walked into the store, happened to get the store manager as the first person. Talked to him a bit and then I asked him why the online system was showing that I was signing up for a 2 year contract, being charged an upgrade fee, and had to change my data plan. He immediately said that because I paid full price none of that would happen. I took him at his word which might have been a mistake considering he doesnt work for verizon and may not be familiar.

Regardless I proceeded to pick up the phone, while he was going through the process I asked him if I could delay the activation as I wanted to use my old phone to get home, he said yes but then later in the checkout process it said it was requiring activation. He checked with another employee (which seemed strange considering he was the store manager) if there was a way to complete it without activating the phone. The other employee said that it shouldn't be activated until I turned on the new iPhone. This wasn't the case even though my phone was showing service in the store.

I got home and didn't have an active phone to talk to verizon support so I got on the account chat. The rep confirmed that I would not be charged any fees or have any modifications to my agreement because I did not sign or extend a new contract. I have this on a pdf but it is a long conversation so I am not sure how to post it. I am happy to email to it anyone. I also asked them to confirm that they would see it now (immediately if there were changes) and she confirmed, if there were she would see it, and there were not.

so cliff notes, even though the personal pickup states you will be modifying your data plan, signing up for a 2 year contract, and being charged an upgrade, you will not be if you pay the full price for the phone. At least for now, time will tell but I took the gamble and hopefully it works out.

It's very odd. With Verizon, who knows?! Lol. Hopefully, it will get sorted out. Also, can you still purchase any 6's via their website? I've returned my upgrade, but apple's site is saying I can't purchase any phones bc I already have an upgrade order associated with my number. The upgrade has been long returned so surely I should be able to purchase another phone? Just not too thrilled with how the site is operating right now.

Very strange we have had different conversations with verizon reps, which leads me to believe they are confused. I picked up my phone that I paid full retail for, my contract date has not changed and the rep has confirmed it will not change... The only variable is that I still have not turned on the iPhone 6 plus...

Did you do personal pick up through the apple website?

Seems we definitely had different conversations. Your conversation is what makes 100% sense to me. I am no rookie to the phone buying game and none of this added up. I just basically told them I wanted my contract reverted back as I purchased the phone full retail. Hopefully, that is being taken care of right now.

When all is said and done, I still plan on purchasing another plus at upgrade price from apple.com for ship to home. I just hope when all of this gets settled, that apple's site will let me make a purchase. Right now I can't buy any iPhone from their site bc of the "existing upgrade order" error, which I have already been refunded for, lol.

Unlocked Stock in France?

Looks like a lot of stock in France - all unlocked. Might be why such a limited amount of T-Mobile unlocked in the States.

I'm actually starting to have a bit of the dreaded buyer's remorse. Even though I can afford my one new phone per year, the total of $1040 for my 128gb plus just seems a bit high when I can use the upgrade and then use the sim swap technique to keep my unlimited data. Might sell this bad boy for a slight profit and upgrade and just wait it out. I think my lack of patience got me, haha. Still, a great phone but with all the loopholes available why not save around $500 or more if you can?? I think I've become more of a penny pincher in today's economy.

Guys I just want to make sure, I should be able to cancel a 2 year contract personal pick up order, and change it to a Next plan in store, especially if im doing next on a completely separate line that is eligible for upgrade right? (meaning i wont need to wait for upgrade eligibility to reset)

Im just gonna be nervous until it is all done and in my hands lol.

I finally snagged my AT&T 64gb SG 6+ thanks to iStockNow!!! I had a few other opportunities with it popping up online but I never killed the trigger because I'm on Next. I was always hesitant to order and try to switch online after reading the horror stories of people waiting a week to reset their eligibility and getting turned down at the store. I became impatient after multiple failed attempts waiting in the morning for opening. My impatience got the best of me yesterday and I decided to order once I saw it pop-up in a local store. When I got there I explained the situation and expected to get turned down right away but instead the sales guy knew what to do but wanted to wanted to run it past a manager and get a phone specialist involved. The manager approved it and the specialist I got assigned to was awesome! He knew exactly what needed to be done and had done this for other customers too. He rang up the purchase and activated the phone under the 2-year contract (opposite of what I read on here saying it won't work if the phone is activated). He then processed the return and went to the back stockroom before completing it so that it could get processed for him to re-purchase immediately. When returning it he made sure to point out that the screen said my eligibility would reset immediately and that was the most important part. He rang me up with Next and there was an error but he said that's normal because of all of the account changes going on. He explained that an Apple rep in a call center is working with AT&T to fix the issue when that error occurs. After about 5-10 minutes, it went through successfully and I was out the door with my 6+!! My advice to all who are trying to do this is to make sure you work with someone who knows what they are doing. He mentioned that most stores probably wouldn't do it but they have done so many in the past that they knew all the possibilities.

For those still looking for phones, I have some advice to share from my experiences. If you are on Next and chasing a 6+, your options are to risk the in-store pickup or go to the store the morning after receiving a nightly alert (and get there early). My local store has a group of scalpers that hang around the store all day with messenger bags buying up everything that is available so getting lucky with a walk-in is next to impossible. My advice would be if you see an overnight alert for the phone you want, they should have a few for opening but you need to be one of the first in line.

Also, check other stores. Apple Stores get the largest shipments but they are also flooded with scampers and others trying to get the phone. Go to lesser known places and you may have luck. Best Buy and Target have been great to me with being honest with their process. When a phone comes in at Target, customers have 48 hours to pick it up. After the 48 hours it goes back into inventory and can be sold so keep an eye on stores that have reserved stock showing on iStockNow for several days in a row. Best Buy does get phones but they tend to have a lot of pre-orders that they are filling first. If you can find a store that has fulfilled all pre-orders already, that's the one to keep an eye on. My last suggestion (especially for you DFW folks), check Fry's Electronics. The local ones get a steady supply of 6+'s, they can do Next upgrades, and their employees have been incredibly helpful with this process for me.

I have one last piece of info that I learned yesterday that can help answer the walk up vs. online inventory question. Products only show up online as available if there are 5 or more of that item in stock. This would explain why it seems people are able to get the phone in the morning after receiving an alert the night before. This also makes sense on why we get mixed answers asking if there is separate inventory because technically there isn't, it just doesn't display low quantity items online.

Sorry for typing out a book but hopefully this helps someone snag their prize. Good luck!!

No cause iPhones from Europe are not the same from USA. Slight differences on 4G / LTE frequencies. So model number are differents, so not same factory lines. :)

True, so that goes back to production choices ahead. They must have missed a projection or something...

We're getting FULL stocks for weeks, had a short period with a few 6 Plus 64/128 missing but it's already behind us.

What puzzles me is how can we (Germany seems to be in the same situation), can have that many while Italy and Spain (and most other euro countries) just besides got nothing, than the US is totally depleted and in UK it's a mix all of of that.

Regarding your website iStockNow. I know that Apple offers unlocked iPhone if paid in full in store, no matter you take ATT, TMobile, Verizon, or Sprint.

When you show "T-Mobile / Unlocked" it's actually doesn't really matter, as we could buy any one. Right?

There seems to be almost no Verizon stock of anything in the south. (NC, TN, KY, VA, GA specifically) and it has been like this for over a week. Does anyone have any idea when this area should be getting a new shipment of phones???

I picked up one of the last 6+ models in Memphis, TN and haven't seen them since. It's very limited in the SE US. There's just literally no way to predict who and where gets what. I just know it is a huge letdown for the customers who want one. If you want to purchase online you will be waiting into mid November now and if you gamble on store pickup it is a lot of stress playing the "is it in stock" game and then trying to reserve online (if you can even do that without getting any errors bc of site issues) or driving to the store and hoping someone else didn't snatch it up.

For what it is worth, I have listed my Verizon silver 6+ 128GB on swappa.com. Going to see if I get a bite due to the limited availability. I can just turn around and use an upgrade and wait it out. Paid full retail for the one I have. Great phone, but some of the novelty has worn off so the wait won't be terrible.

Yup, I'm in FL and have not seen any Verizon iPhone 6 Plus models. My return period ends tomorrow and I really don't know what to do..

has anyone been able to buy a 6 plus in a Target store at full price? my local Target store refused to sell me a 6 plus since my line was not eligible for an upgrade.
I just want to get it under the 2 year commitment with At&t. According to both At&t and Apple websites I can get a 64gb 6 plus for $649.99 (slightly lower than full price) since I'm already more than a year into my current contract. But the guy at the Target store said that they could not sell me a phone unless I was eligible for a full upgrade! Very fishy!

 Just missed one! I had it in my cart, checked out and got the dreaded error screen!

VERY familiar with said scenario unfortunately. Having called Apple Stores to check "walk-in" inventory, I'm told they're unable to disclose that over the phone. You have to just physically walk in so they can tell you you wasted your time lol.

This is frustrating, but it'll happen sooner or later.

Finally it is over.

Got my 128GB Space Gray ATT Plus, and got a case comped by the apple store manager. Good day.

So glad I can finally not worry about it anymore. Good luck everyone
