Exactly. The whole internet has the word of one guy that the ram is soldered and the Case welded shut with special screws

Apple didn't just wield shut the ram slots, they went and wielded shut the reviewers doors.

What a bad :apple: :rolleyes::cool:

LOL! If I thought it was going to be more than a day or three I would consider it.

But in reality, The folks at Endgadget, IfixIt or any other review/teardown site can much better afford it than me :)

So what is their problem? Get going folks! We NEED to know!

Not welded shut, but you need a strong suction cup to remove the base. I posted info on it the other day in another topic surrounding user upgrades.

Sorry there are no actual images, I don't know about the legality of posting pictures of the service manual from Apple's service site (likely NOT legal to do so).
