I'm running Yosemite with the latest versions of Pages and Numbers. When I try to open something from the cloud I get the message "The file "example.pages" couldn't be opened." This is true for documents created under old and new versions of Pages.

I can see the file preview in the open screen. *Luckily* I can open it using iWork on Safari. Thank God.

I tried to create and save a new document to see if it would open and Pages wouldn't even let me save it. I try to save it with the name Test and I get a message: "The file "Untitled.pages" couldn't be opened."

Ideas?

For the benefit of anyone who finds this looking for an answer:

The 1st rule of troubleshooting is asking if it's plugged in.
The 2nd rule is try rebooting.

#2 did the trick and Pages is fine.
