While you're waiting for your iPad Air 2 case to be delivered, you might try this...
I have an Air with a Devicewear Ridge case on it. The Ridge combines a clamshell plastic snap on back with a fold over/prop up magnet/smart flap, so I figured I'd try it on the Air 2 for grins.
While the buttons and camera are offset a bit, the clamshell snapped onto the "thinner" Air 2 and holds it firmly in place. I even grabbed the flap and let the business part just drop down and it did not fall out. And the magnets/smart functions work, too.
I was sure it would not fit. Nice to have safe temp case while my new DW Ridge is working its way to me.
