iPad Is the iPad 2 powerfull enough for iOS 8?

Honestly it's not powerful enough. If I could go back to iOS7 I would. Save yourself the frustration.

The rule is if it runs well leave it alone. You've already done too much by updating it.

It's pretty slow and choppy on my iPad 2. But I need dat SMS relay.

Trust me you do not want to go beyond 7.1.2 on iPad 2.

You don't wanna upgrade beyond iOS 6.

The iPad 2 SHOULD be powerful enough, but iOS 8 is very buggy and bloated even on the latest hardware.

I went to iOS8 on my iPad 2 before they stopped signing iOS7. I used it for a day, and then went back to iOS7. Too choppy and laggy for me.

From everyone complaining, it doesn't sound like it does. Mine is staying on 7.1.2...
