That's odd because I had a separate sheet (coupon) that was printed along with my trade-in summary.

Anyways, I'm going to set aside a little time during my errands to see if I can debate myself into an extra $50 bucks from Best buy on that Saturday.

Yeah I thought it was odd too... The trade in sheets printed, but no coupon.

They took the $50 off...So it worked out... The wording on the Best Buy Website is ambiguous about the extra $50.

No, no trade-in value on the iPad 1. :(

(When you check their on-line website even in good condition with no issues a 64GB iPad 1 receives a value of, "0".)

Maybe it is different for BB Elite members. When I input iPad 1 64GB AT&T it came up $74.

Excludes iPad 1st Generation.

Upon trade in of a qualified tablet, a trade-in coupon for $25 toward a new iPad mini 3 or $50 toward a new iPad Air 2 will print with the trade in receipt.

So Ipad Air should be extra $50 since it's not an Ipad 1..... but it must be a qualified tablet and there is no list of qualified tablets..:D

Yeah I know others got the coupon on an Air trade in....

Valid 10/17/14–11/8/14. Coupon redemption valid through 11/15/14. In store only. Excludes iPad 1st Generation. Not all products are eligible for trade-in. Not available in all locations and some stores may have additional limitations. Trade-in value may vary. Condition, documentation and accessories may affect value. Device must power on to be considered working. Devices with cracked screens or water damage are not considered working for purposes of this offer. Payment is by Best Buy gift card. You are responsible for removing any data from your product before providing the product for evaluation. You are required to agree to the Terms & Conditions. No Dealers. Limit of 2 trade ins per person. Best Buy reserves the right to refuse any trade in or to limit quantities for any reason. Taxes and any applicable surcharges due at time of purchase. No rainchecks. Upon trade in of a qualified tablet, a trade-in coupon for $25 toward a new iPad mini 3 or $50 toward a new iPad Air 2 will print with the trade in receipt. Tax is applied based on the full retail value. Limit 1 coupon per transaction. See a Customer Specialist or BestBuy.com/Tradein for details.

No, not different for Elite. I'm not Elite, and I got $74 on the button for the ipad 1 I traded in along with a 4 (the latter qualified for the $50 bonus discussed in this thread, while of course the 1 did not). Wasn't much, but I hadn't used the thing in ages (I literally had to wipe the dust off of it prior to trading it in), so it was better than nothing. Helped defray the additional cost of the Air 2 with a minimum of effort (because I'm pretty sure I could have gotten more on eBay or CL).

Question about the reward member 3x points thing. I tried googling it and it keeps sending me to the my best buy site which I do have a membership for. Is that the same thing? Also if I didn't get the email about the 3x points, am I out of luck? Or can I ask about it verbally?

You had to receive the email.

Anyone know if the Mover's 10% off coupon will work if I'm ordering an Air 2 that's out of stock in store so they have to order it through the system? Can't find a space gray on this side of the Mason-Dixon line.

when I was at the store they said they could order the one I wanted (color) for store pick, you just pay for it there so the coupon should work at that point since you are pre-paying.

Great deal!

Thank you Staindsoul!!

I picked up my silver, 64g, wifi, iPad Air 2 from Best Buy today. I traded in my 32g iPad Air for $301.00, got the $50 coupon toward the purchase of the iPad Air 2, $55 for the movers coupon and out the door for $228.64. ;)

In the same boat. Those space gray 64gb are either in very short supply or dissapearing the moment they arrive. Picked up one of the coupons today to try same thing.

More love for Staindsoul here!

I wanted the SG 128 Wifi, so I had it shipped to the store. They did a quick return and then I bought it again using my cards and codes.

$699-$50 off code for trade = $649
-10% for Movers coupon = $548.10
-$425 for iPad 3 & iPhone 5 = $159.10

Best Apple deal I've ever had. Cashier called someone over to look at the final price & they both high-fived me :)

I may have to do this since none of the Best Buys around me seem to have 64GB in stock. I really want a Space Gray, but I may have to opt for Silver for now and do an exchange when the Space Gray is available.

Another thanks to the OP...

Traded-in my iPhone 5S, iPhone 4S, and iPad 4. Used the bonus $50 coupon, as well as 10% Change-of-Address coupon. No accessories nor boxes required, just devices themselves, got exactly the amount for trade-ins that was shown on Best Buy website.

iPad Air 2 Gold 128GB: $699.99
$50 Trade-In Bonus Coupon: $649.99
-10% Moving Coupon: $584.99
+Tax @ 6%: $620.09
-$300 iPhone 5S Trade-In: $320.09
-$243 iPad 4 Trade-In: $77.09
-$110 iPhone 4S Trade-In: ($32.91)

For a couple old devices and my current 32GB iPad and I get a new, high storage iPad Air 2 for $0 with a $32.91 Best Buy Gift Card. Added benefit of not having to sell on eBay or meeting someone on CL.

Funny thing is I went to a different area store first and they wouldn't honor the 10% coupon and offered me $135 for my 16GB Gold 5S due to a minor ding in the corner.

Decided to try another Best Buy near my destination and they had no problem doing exactly the above-mentioned transaction. Nice staff and very helpful, much unlike staff at my first attempt which didn't want to help me out on the coupon or trade-in value, and actually said 10% coupon strictly restricted use on Apple products.

Feel like I should mention both Best Buys by name/location here since they were such starkly different experiences...

Anyway, thanks to everyone who mentioned this deal / details before me. Unfortunately stuck waiting until 11/4 for the one I wanted to be in stock at the location I purchased from but for the price I can't ask for more.

I am trying to get a 128 gb cellular gold ipad but it wont let me ship to a store near me, but it will let me pick up at a store about an hour away  Now if I try the silver version, it lets me ship to the store near to me, which is like 5 minutes away. Would it make a difference if I have it shipped to me (free shipping says I'll get it by 11/6) and then I go to the store to return it so I can rebuy it with the gift cards and coupons?

This is (for me at least) the biggest advantage of this deal. I have old Apple devices I am not using but too busy/lazy to sell them. So convenient to get a decent amount for your device. And for you to walk away with an Air 2 and money in your pocket....

Yessir. I've been actively trying to sell mine however and while I haven't been ripped off on eBay yet in all the transactions I've completed over the years, I know it is bound to happen, and was trying to go the CL route this time to sell those phones just for cash, as I had no intentions of upgrading my iPad 4, even though the Air 2 looked awesome.

Luckily I came across this thread, made a spreadsheet to price everything out (I work in finance), and found a place that would execute it for me (BIG thanks to Best Buy on Telegraph in Southfield, MI and NO THANKS to Best Buy on John R. in Madison Heights, MI). While I know I could have probably gotten more for each device selling by myself, the added hassle and risk just isn't worth it anymore.

Thank you for posting about this, again. Can't wait to get the call when it is ready for pickup.

I would pop into your close store and ask since different stores seem to do things differently. If it were me, I'd take the ship to store option that is available, just to be sure it arrives soon enough to take advantage of the deal. It gets to the store pretty fast, to your home a little longer. Worth a drive to save a lot.

Also, I have noticed the shipping and availability on BB changes throughout the day.

Each experience will be different but at my Best Buy in DFW the sales associate turned on the iPad to check the serial number and that is it. I don't believe she ever even looked at the back of the iPad.

That is just what it was priced at on Best Buy website. Mine had a bunch on knicks, scratches, and the one dent from not using a case and also being careless while drinking. The screen was still perfect and phone was still in good shape, not falling apart or anything.

They actually offered me $135 at the first BB I went to... I laughed and walked out. GTFOHWTMFBS.
