USB port fail

I have an early 2011 Mac Book Pro. Ive noticed that one of my usb ports don't work. Its not a huge deal for me, but thinking resale as Im hoping to get a macbook air at christmas.

Is it an easy fix? Do usb ports just go out? I know it hasn't worked for a while. I just switch ports and not worry about it.

Any ideas?

I had the same thing happen to my 2011 yesterday. reset Pram, worked again.

To reset, restart, hold Command, Option, P, R keys, let go after second set of chimes.
