Are iOS 7 and OS X Yosemite compatible?

Hey,

I have a question regarding the compatibility between OS X Yosemite on my MacBook Pro (haven't installed it yet) and iOS 7 on my iPhone 4 (not compatible with iOS 8).

How does the update affect the "connection" between the MacBook Pro and iPhone 4 (iCloud, iMessages, Apps etc.)?

Not really. But you won’t get the new handoff/continuity features, if those are important to you.

Thanks for the quick reply. Sadly I'm stuck with iPhone 4 and iOS 7 so the new handoff/continuity features are off the table anyway :)
