leopardhead says you can sell the AT&T UDP.

No, no, no, no, no!!!! Do NOT pay for WiFi tethering!!!!!! Jailbreak your iPhone and use Tetherme or MyWi. Or just get a nexus, you know you want one. Originally Posted by JulesJam

I may just give them the line since they can still get a subsidized upgrade. The bigger issue is that the AT&T number has basically been my main phone number for the past 9 years. Giving it up will take some transition time (but I did manage to get an easy to remember "round" 312 number from VZW). Too bad the Google Voice port loophole doesn't work on AT&T.

If I really want tethering, I can just pop the SIM card into my iPad Air 2, but the tethering plan costs me $24 after my corporate discount. I'm currently using a promotional $20 T-Mobile 3GB plan in my iPad that ends in January. I might use my Apple SIM to buy the $10 one-time 5GB plan that lasts for up to 5 months. After that, the $24 tethering add-on for VZW doesn't look so bad. My corporate profiles won't allow JBing a phone.

Peeps the $45/mo UDP MHS plans may have just gotten incredibly valuable - it doesn't look like you can make them anymore!!!!

Tech reps just confirmed that the UDP is incompatible with the $15/mo loyalty plan so the jig is up!!!!!!

I will try an AOL rep in the morning but if that fails well, we all must accept defeat!

But his billing cycle ended yesterday, so perhaps he got the $45 plan in before they closed the door. I ran My Verizon on the phone after the AOL at his request, and it confirmed the UDP was still there, and that there were a total of 15 prorated minutes left before the next cycle started (450/30).

So I guess this glitch wasn't intentional after all. Things must have gotten really out of hand with people converting at the last minute.

Over on HoFo people are expecting a lot more clampdowns on UDP holders. I doubt that will happen, at least during the 2 year contracts. If they suddenly convert everyone to 2GB plans, they'll see mass cancellations without ETFs, and thus be out the subsidy they paid Apple on every phone purchased through this glitch.

Jules (or anyone else who is knowledgeable enough to answer),

Quick question for you. I currently have one line on VZW with an unlimited data plan on a NW single line. Is it still possible for me to open a second line via apple.com to get a subsidized iPhone 6 with unlimited data on the new line as well? If so, I'm going to be able to convert my existing single line's NW plan into a Family Share NW plan - is this possible? Thank you so much for all the info you provide!!
