Had my iPhone 5S since December 2013, it's been great but I've noticed recently it has become very temperamental when plugging it in to charge. It tends to constantly start and stop and needs to be at a precise angle/position. Is this a common fault and who should I speak to about getting it fixed? It doesn't seem to be anything to do with the charging cable or dock.

What you are describing is most likely an issue with the cable or port. Try a different cable first and if it is still doing it you likely need to replace the port.
