My Air 2 battery usage statistic goes up by 3-4 mins every hour whilst in sleep/standby mode. Every service is off so it's something to do with wifi.

If I put it in airplane mode or turn wifi off whilst in standby / sleep the usage counter doesn't move which should be the case even if wifi is on?!

Is this happening to anyone else? If so that means the usage indicator is always going to be wrong if you leave the wifi switch on whilst not using the iPad.

Any ideas..?

Thanks

Yep, this is very true. Without touching wifi in standby, my usage showed 16.5 hours with 11% left. Putting it on airplane mode while not in use, my stats accurately showed 10.5 hours.

Thanks for sharing, looks like its,an iOS issue that only affects wifi only iPads? I assume it just keeps searching for networks all day in the background. Very silly snd it means we will never get a true usage if wifi is on in standby!
