Nexus 6 vs Iphone 6 Plus Batter life

And the Huawai Ascend blows away the iPhone 6 Plus...

Not really:
Huawai: 18.7
iPhone 6+: 13.7
Nexus 6: 7.7

Aside from the battery, it's just a very cheap device.
And yet it obliterates the nexus 6 (3220 mah) in battery performance, perhaps lollipop is a battery hog?

Huawai specs.
6.1 inch 720p display (241ppi)
Snapdragon 400
4,050mAh battery

Like when does Web browsing is the only activity can determine battery life.

How about something that more resembles actual real life usage. From phonearena.

Phone arena, hahaha.
Can you be more biased?

Stick with Anandtech for data, they are much more credible.

The nexus 6 has terrible battery life.
Motorola should have included a 4000 mah battery.

Really? Let's see. You are the boss of Anandtech and at the same time work for Apple...hmmm...or you selective show results that are favorable to Apple product in one chart and omit competitors results that are better in another chart.

No conspiracy theories here apple recognizes talent, and acquires accordingly.

Nah. Anandtech is the only goto source left for Apple fans nowadays to find favorable (selective) data.

Others will not really trust them to give any non bias review on anything non apple. If you work for Apple how critical can the website you owned be towards apple.

You have no idea about Anandtech if your accusing them of bias over phones arena(lol).

"Founded in 1997, AnandTech is widely renowned for its technical analysis of personal computers and, more recently, mobile phones.

Shimpi posted his retirement from tech writing on a post on his site over the weekend, but did not mention joining Apple at that time. Since then, the Cupertino company has confirmed that the he will be joining the Apple fold. Specifics as to what his actual position will be are still unclear, but it is known that he will be joining former AnandTech senior smartphone reviewer Brian Klug, who also left for Apple back in February.

Anand Shimpi has built gradually a reputation as one of mobile tech’s most authoritative figures, and has even consulted with manufacturers to improve hardware products like solid state drives. It’s expected that his extensive knowledge of device engineering and industry connections are what made him an attractive hire for Apple, where he will likely contribute to the improvement of iPhone and, potentially, wearables."

You are the one who is accusing phonearena of being bias. You didn't even give any substance why phonearena is bias.

At least I raised anandtech close relationship to Apple as a concern whether they can be objective.

Who cares how Anandtech started out before but now the boss of that website is working with Apple. How objective do you think they can be now. Just like the recent iPad air 2 reviews in one chart they show the tab s as being inferior but another chart they omit tab s since it has better results than the iPad Air.

What this thread fails to mention is that these tests were done on devices as they arrived. They use their unscientific test of random webpages, which content varies wildly on, not to mention that websites get more content heavy every day. Testing a year old phone, or even a few month old phone, to a brand new one is not a fair comparison. Without each phone accessing the same content, you can't compare the two.

Do you really think the Nexus 6 would last longer? It has a .5" larger screen and 4 times the resolution.

Um, PhoneArena battery testing is awful and they dont even disclose how they run their tests, they are not reliable at all, Anandtech has the best real world life usage testing

PhoneArena doesnt even disclose how they do their testign, they dont go at all into details, their testing is not reliable and doesnt match more then half the times with multiple other battery tests done by other websites and also reviews

----------

Saying apple affiliated anandtech has more credibility than others is sure sign that someone is a fanboy.

Anandtech is one of the most reliable, reputable non biased websites on the web, their results and testing and analysis is really almost unmatched in the industry

----------

Really? Let's see. You are the boss of Anandtech and at the same time work for Apple...hmmm...or you selective show results that are favorable to Apple product in one chart and omit competitors results that are better in another chart.

Anand does not write any articles or post anymore on Anandtech, he has put others complelty in charge and now works basically full time at Apple, you dont just throw out years of extremely reputable fame and non bias and renown that Anandtech has built over the years with the industry, terrible damage control, its widely known now that PhoneArenas testing is flawed and that they dont even disclose their testing

Lol yeah, im sure the iPhone 6 plus only gets one hour more of battery life then the 6, what a joke, nobody takes PhoneArenas testing seriously anyway, their testing is flawed they dont even disclose how they do their test

I went from a 6 to a Plus and I get way more then one extra hour of battery life with my Plus

What do you expect, it powers a Quad HD screen , the GPU has to push more pixels, the display is bigger and has a bigger drain on the battery, the 28nm Snapdragon 805 is not as power efficient as the 20nm Apple A8, this was pretty obvious just by looking at the specs on paper

And you expect me to believe your propaganda essay just like that?

Anandtech selectively omitted devices which have better readings from chart but include them when apple products have better reading. You can rely on them to make apple products look good.

In your fanboy dreams, which is why PhoneArena's results never match up with anyone else's and is not consistent with the rest... I wonder why hmm gee.. it's already known in the industry now that the Nexus 6 life is good, but not as good as the 6 Plus, same thing for the Note 4, its battery life is lesser of the Plus, the Ascend Mate does so well here because it powers only a 720p screen and has a massive battery and is a gigantic device.

The Note 4 does not get better battery life then the Plus, it comes close but it isn't as good, this is a fact and has been established in a few reviews and also benchmark testing aswell. This is obvious once you look at the spec sheet, the Note 4 uses a Snapdragon 805 on a 28nm process node which is noticeably more power hungry then the 20nm Apple A8, and it also has to power a Quad HD display and the GPU has to push more pixels, how hard is it for you to see that lol? fanboy's these day's man..

one thing I do give credit to the Note is the rapid charging, that is very convinient and nice and somewhat reduces the fact it has lower battery life

"The battery performance on the Note 4 isn't quite as good as the Galaxy Note 3 then (which lost 13% in the same test), but with day-to-day usage you're unlikely to notice much of a difference."

One of many reviews saying virtually the same thing. And you do realize GSMarena and PhoneArena are associated with each other lol? what a fail..

http://www.tomsguide.com/us/galaxy-note-4-battery-life,news-19770.html

note_4_battery_compared.jpg

"Samsung's Galaxy Note phones have a well-deserved reputation for delivering long endurance. The new Galaxy Note 4 looks to keep that streak going, packing a high-capacity 3,200-mAh battery. While good, it’s runtime isn’t best in class.

"On our battery test, which involves continuous surfing over 4G at 150 nits brightness with background data and other radios turned off, the Note 4 lasted 8 hours and 43 minutesWhile the new phablet's staying power is long enough to provide all-day power for most normal users, it's behind several competitors, including the Galaxy S5 and iPhone 6 Plus."

http://www.anandtech.com/show/8613/the-samsung-galaxy-note-4-review/3

aaand Anandtech's review on the Note 4, showing it gets too less battery life then the Plus...

if you want to get taken seriously around here on these forums, I suggest you post with credibility and use reliable sources and reputable sources. One of many reviews and websites saying essentially the same thing as posted above.
